Chinese Lunch after the Great wall

After the Great wall we went to an arts and crafts factory that also had a restaurant. We ate lunch there. They served us a variety of Chinese dishes that were actually very good. It was part of the tour our travel agent set up so I wasn't sure what to expect. Ryan was thrilled they had french fries as part of the meal and plain broccoli(the one vegi he will eat). Nathan was thrilled at the family style servings and loved trying the new foods. Megan just wanted to play with the chopsticks....eventually they became drum sicks!! She was delirious by this time of the day!!

I however, was just relieved ..to be honest...to use the potty. Not a good experience at the Great Wall. I left my back pack in the van that had brought us to the wall(didn't want any extra weight as I huffed my way up). I forgot to take my "potty essentials.... TP" out of the backpack though!! Not a good move. The great wall had western toilets but no TP!!!! So I held it :( Then we got stuck in traffic on the way to lunch. It was a complete stand still for 20 min. By the time we got to the restaurant it was an emergency! Probably more info than you wanted :) This trip is so different than last time! We never had situations like this. Everywhere we went today had toilet issues!!

Wow, that looks like a lot of food and I love the big smile on Ryan's face! So glad I didn't have to go up the Great Wall! Prob. would have had to sit on the bottom. Barb, remember Stellan! They flew him to Boston yesterday for open heart surgery. It's pretty risky. (Don't know if I spelled his name right)! Be sure to leave his name in China & take a picture. Love to you all.
